White or colorless diamond-shaped or flake crystal, slightly sour taste, easy to delix in air, slightly soluble in ethanol, easily soluble in cold water, decomposition in hot water, aqueous solution is strongly acidic. It can sublimate and corrode glass at higher temperatures. Toxic and corrosive to the skin. Melting point (℃), 9♛8°C.
Used as glass etching agent, preservative, disinfectant, fiber mordant, metal surface chemical polish, also used for extraction of rare elements, analytical reagents, masking agents. Ammonium fluoride can also be used for the etching of titanium and silicon wafers, which requires the addition of nitric acid or chromic anh👍ydride and other oxidizing substances in the etching solution to prevent hydrogen embrittlement.
Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. Keep away from fire and heat. Keep out of direct sunlight. The package is sealed. It should be stored separately from acids, alkalis and edible chemicals, and should not be mixed. Storage areas shou🀅ld be equipped with suitable materials to contain leaks.
